  • Proper Alignment Matters: When installing the gimbal bearing, insert it straight into the housing. Avoid angling it too high or too low to avoid internal damage during hammering

This is hands down the best tool for removing a gimbal bearing! It is simple to mount and takes no effort to use. I was replacing a bearing that had been in place for over 9 years and this tool removed it as though it was just installed. The tool is very well made, with all components precisely machined.

The mercruiser alignment bearing puller is simple to use—just turn the tool with a wrench to pull out the bearing effortlessly.
The gimbal bearing puller installer features a fixed end ring that aligns with the old bearing position. The heat-treated screw ensures firm attachment, reducing vibration and improving hammering force during installation.
To avoid damaging internal components when hammering the guide rod, insert the gimbal bearing installer puller straight into the drive head for precise alignment. Proper alignment ensures accurate bearing installation and avoids noise or reduced performance during operation.
