I purchased this slicer for doing jerky, and slicing my own sandwich meats, and get away from the over priced deli meats. This slicer is great for doing what I need it to do. It doesn't bog down like some of the other slicers do when trying to slice through partially frozen meats. I also like that it has it's own built in sharpener, even though I have not had to use it yet. It is very easy to disassemble to clean, I would highly recommend this slicer to anyone in the market for a good, reliable slicer to use around the house.

I bought the slicer to make a thin, chewy beef jerky at home. I've used it twice, first time I had slightly frozen beef but the second time I was rushing it and just had the beef at a cool temperature. Though it worked well, having the meat slightly frozen performs much better. Either way it sliced the beef to the desired thickness consistantly. My biggest complaint is trying to clean this thing. It is difficult and time-consuming. Originally I planned on just slicing up what I was going to smoke but because the clean up is so time consuming I decided to slice up a large batch and freeze small batches for smoking later.

After many uses, I have found this slicer is not as " heavy duty " as I had wished. The guide plate flexes way to much, and causes uneven slicing. You will have a 2 mil to 5 mil slice every time. It is not recomended to be used in any heavy slicing conditions. I make my own bacon and even partially frozen bacon is difficult to slice. Mild soft meat and small block cheese is about all I would recomend.

We only gave it four stars because of how loud it is. My hubby decided to use it early one morning at 4:30 am; I was not a happy camper.

This was a great price and it works wonderfully. We sliced about 30 lbs of bacon in just a few minutes. It is simple to use and not too hard to clean. I would definitely recommend this be your next purchase.

Saving major money on lunchmeat now!! The machine is high quality and works like a champ. The clean up does take about 20 minutes to do a good job. That's the toughest part when using this machine.

The quality is not as good as the high dollar ones but who could expect it for the price. I’d definitely buy again.

NO REGRETS I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN, IT'S BUILT TO LAST !! SPARE BELT WAS MISSING, BUT VEVOR SENT ONE IN A SHORT TIME.
