We had some pipes freeze last year when Texas brought down the nation's grid and were fortunate enough for it to be a minor issue that was quickly remedied by a plumber with a shocker machine. We did the usual tricks after that of running a small drip and also put some insulation around the pipes - all of that seemed to stop the problem as we have not had another issue this year when temps dropped to real feel of -38 degrees. But we also acquired this bad boy as an additional option and so far no complaints. Use some electrical tape to install it and let it go to work while following the instructions and restrictions for safety. It looks like you can get a 9 footer for $26.99 or a 24 footer for $28.77 but it's important to only use as much as you need for the pipes and the appropriate scenario. In our case our pipes were inside the house and the fix was easily enough resolved by adding insulation, so we were able to avoid leaving this plugged in permanently - we use it as needed when temps reach, for example, -38 for two days straight.

This cord works well. It has detailed instructions which I appreciate since this was my first time with a cable like this. It���s all very straightforward. I would say after you become familiar with the instructions and how it operates. The materials are very durable and so far have held up well. I am pleased with the ruggedness and ease of use. So far I���ve only used it for this one season but I haven't experienced any issues with durability.

This tape comes with a thermostats that prevents it from staying on unless it is needed; it comes on when needed. It is heavy duty and very easy to put on. I am now set for the winter.

Keeping water running in winter is now as simple as plugging this in. Easy install, very effective.

I used this for freeze protection for my chicken water distribution pipe. It���s easy to position out of ���picking range��� and simply tapes on to the pipe. The thermostats prevents it from staying on unless it is needed. Just enough heat to do the job.

Got the 3 foot one for a short length of pipe that has an outside draft blowing on it. Installing easy. Installing fiberglass insulation on it in a tight area is difficult.

To keep my batteries in top-notch condition during the winter months I snaked the heat tape around my batteries with the temperature sensor outside of the battery storage trunk. These heaf tapes keep my batteries in the 50s when it’s single digits outside the box.

Seems heavy duty, very easy to put on and used heat resistant tape to keep in place. So far it’s doing it’s job.
