We have had issues in the past with water lines freezing and bursting in our rental property. This pipe heating cable came with excellent instructions both in the box and attached to the cable. It was very easy to install and we have had no issues since installing. If you need to prevent freezing pipes- this will work!

These kinds kinds of cables will save your pipes from freezing. We had a day or two a few years ago when Northeast Texas dipped down to -5*. Crazy cold for Texas. Heated cables wrapped around our main exposed line kept it from freezing. Came back to get this longer one for this year. Worth the price in the end. No complaints or regrets.

As many people all over have been noticing over the past couple of years, winter can be brutal in terms of pipes freezing and bursting when temperatures fall below freezing for any length of time. This was the case for me in February of 2021, during the "polar express" in Oklahoma. My house's pipes, like so many others, froze, though not before I thought to run a little 1500 watt space heater near the pipes and kept them from bursting, but it felt so wasteful, and at that time, energy expenditures were just painful to endure.Thankfully, I had the foresight to order this item, as it appears to be exactly what I need. I have tested the cord, with a bag of ice, and found that it operated as indicated. The pipe coming into the water heater is the pipe that freezes, and this cord, at approximately 6 feet of usable length, will be installed according to the very clear instructions. I have no doubt at all that this cord, used correctly, will, at the very least help keep the intake pipe from bursting, if not freezing in the first place. Even if I should need to resort to the use of the space heater again, I can't help but think that this low-wattage cord with be a great asset!

Frost King HC3A Automatic Electric Heat Kit Heating Cables, 3 Feet, Black is just what I needed to replace an old heat tape. It worked well thru this past winter & has a light to easily see when it is on.

I have external sprinkler clocks attached to the spigots, and we had a few mild freezes in Texas. They kept everything from freezing, which is exactly why I bought them.

I actually bought a returned one and save a little money. I used it around a six foot hose and wrapped around a 3 stage clear scorch water filter system. Temperature got as low as 12 degrees twice and I never had issues with freezing. Works great.

We use it for cold nights RVing, especially in northern areas. Easy to use.

I used this heat cable (and water pipe insulation) around my water hose while staying in an RV during 2 weeks of 20-32 degree snow storm. It worked fantastic!! It melted the snow around it and kept pipes from freezing. So happy I had this.
