This is a good light duty rack. I am not sure how well it would stand up to the outdoors. I have installed three and may buy more for an indoor bike room. The instructions were a bit clumsy to use but the picture shows the position of all the components and it went together fairly easily. Was supposed to come with a wrench but instead there was a useless tape measure. It came with a tiny philips screwdriver but too small to apply any kind of torque. Have a decent philips with a small tip. A deep 10mm socket on a ratchet wrench or a 10 mm nut driver or a box wrench is necessary. As I said no wrench was included as anticipated. Also the end caps to keep water etc out of the pipes do not go in by hand. A hammer, either with a steel peen or urethane mallet are needed. There are small washers that go under the nuts. Washers that held the nut as you tighten the screws would have been a lot easier. Also, one of the pipes were dented making it unable to be joined to the next. Fortunately we had a plier that allowed us the pull the dent out. So, phillips, 10mm wrench, pliers and hammer are necessary. If we need one or two more, I have no hesitancy getting these identical units.
