I have tried other drill bit sharpeners. I find this to do the best job. It also does large drill bits. I have drill Dr i find it to be inconsistent. This sharpener is my go to sharpener now.

Works fine, storage is poorly thought out
The machine works and performs fine, and is not too difficult to use. However, the storage area for all the collets is very poorly designed - not only is there no latch on the door that overs the storage compartment, there is also no way to keep the collets in their holes and they can just fall out at any time.

I've used a lot of drill bit sharpeners over the years, and this one is by far the best I've ever used. It's well built, powerful, and quiet. The only knock I have is that it can't sharpen bits larger than 1/2". It would be nice if it could go up to 3/4". I would definitely buy this again, but I doubt I'll wear it out in my lifetime. I highly recommend this tool.

I'm a field mechanic, there's nothing worse then being in the middle of a project, needing a drill bit and it breaking or getting dull. This thing works better then any DR. company, leaves a smooth factory looking finish. Bits are sharp after use, and stay sharp. Everything one could want. Its expensive, most good things are, it saves time, money and frustration of having to stop working on a project and waiting for a replacement.

This unit really truly works. I sharpened all my dull drill bits ( about 30) from 1/8th inch to 1/2 in an hour. I tested each one after sharpening them with a piece of metal. I've got three drill doctors (least expensive to there best). I've been very disappointed with the drill doctor as most of the time it really doesn't get the drill bit sharp. NOTE" THE DOWN SIDE TO THE COMPANY IS THEY DON'T CARRY ANY COLLETS AND/OR PARTS FOR THE UNIT. IF YOU LOOSE ANYTHING OR IT BREAKS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PURCHASE IT. THIS WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING FOR ME, AS i TIRED TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL COLLETS
