I put this wave maker in my 30 gallon tank. I was planning on putting it in my 100 gallon but it is recommended by the company to have two - one one either end - for a tank that size. Not a problem, I had many to choose from. It is not invasive but keeps a nice steady current. I like that there are multiple options for types of waves and strength of waves. I also really like that it is sensitive to the amount of light in the tank and naturally decreases the waves as the light decreases. You can also temporarily pause the mechanism for ten minutes so that the fish can feed without the circulation. Simple to clean as it will self clean with the touch of a button. This little wave generator is very well thought out, works well and is well worth the price. Just know if you have a large tank, the company recommends using two or more of these to get effective waves.

Overall this is a huge win for price and value for the money in reef aquarium gear. I ran it through the paces, and tried all the setting to see if it had any issues, and there were no problems even running it at full blast. I have dialed it back to a more useable setting and it’s been working fine since that day.

This is the best quality wave maker I currently own. It has a TON of different wave settings and even a setting to reverse and self clean. I am very likely to be purchasing and second and third one since they can be linked together and the wave movement even from one seems extremely realistic. Would 100% recommend, even for larger tanks.

I got this wave maker to add some current to my 75 gallon aquarium. This wave maker works very well and has a bunch of settings to choose from. the issues i have with this wave maker is that it doesn't have a setting to make a gentle current. If you have any floating or delicate live plants, they wont like the current even at its lowest setting. Lastly, if you have any longfin or tall fish, like discus or angelfish, they wont enjoy this flow pump either. Otherwise, it does what its suppose to do.

Good pump for the price. I prefer gyre pumps to other types, due to the laminar flow. They make controlling the direction of your flow much easier. They also help to keep your substrate clean if you run them in reverse, or aim them down towards the sand bed. The included controller gives enough options to satisfy most people. I have not encountered any issues yet.

I'm new to saltwater aquariums and all of the various 'extra' devices that they need, but this one has (seemed to) work great! The magnet is very strong. The controller is a bit so-so for me - but that could again be because I'm not experienced in this hobby yet. The instructions made it easy enough to figure out and I was able to adjust my settings how I wanted. I like the variety of 'waves' available and the fact that you can change the intensity of them. However, my favorite feature is the 10 minute feeding pause - when I reach for the controller to adjust, my fish come swimming up because they know it's dinnertime!

This wavemaker is suggested for 15 - 70 gallon, however, I found that even with it in my 20 gallon long - it was much to powerful for my nano fish. I do wish that it had the ability to rotate out to the sides, or even up/down, but it does not. It's stuck in one direction - straight ahead.
This wavemaker is loaded with a ton of controls, so many that I'd have to keep the instruction booklet next to it for any minor adjustments. It's a good quality wavemaker, just no ability to adjust the direction of the water output, which you'd think would be an option for a wavemaker at this cost.

This wave maker was just too much for my 25-gallon reef tank. The flow it creates is super powerful, probably great for a larger setup but for me, it stirred everything up way more than I wanted. Even on the lower settings, it felt like my corals were barely hanging on. If you’ve got a smaller tank like mine, this might be overkill. It’s definitely built for something bigger.

The wave maker is attached securely to the magnet, so you don't have to worry about it detaching and hanging loose in your tank, like the Hygger. The strength of the magnet is strong. You can move the unit using the magnet outside of the tank and can orient the wave maker either horizontally or vertically without compromising the function. This made it easy for me to position the wave maker in a way that directed the flow better without having to keep putting my hand in the tank.
