I am a repeat buyer of the Velor 9U hinged IT Rack. As with previous purchases, the unit (along with a 1U and a 2U Rack shelf) arrived perfectly in tact, on time and at the price we ordered at. The equipment went together flawlessly - in less than 10 minutes, and worked flawlessly as anticipated. When the need arises I will order again and I highly suggest that anyone else interested in great quality at a reasonable price do the same!

I was very impressed with this rack when it arrived. The quality is very good, although 150 lb capacity might be pushing it. I'm using it for a small lab setup and it's perfect for exact that. It came with the required nuts and bolts. I didn't know that when I ordered but the door can swing either way. Even without the door there is access on all sides. Overall a great purchase at a great price. I might even replace another setup with one.

I'm super impressed with this rack - it is sturdy, the powder coat and lettering is nice, and the swing feature is really exceptional. only thing I had to do was use my own wall anchors - the included ones would probably work in wood or brick, but in my dry wall they just kept expanding and never actually capturing in the hole. i love that the swing out can go in either direction, which gives me a lot of flexibility in wiring the rear sockets of the audio equipment i have mounted in the rack.

Worked perfect for mounting sound equipment for my church. Swing out option is too awesome for connecting wiring. Screws are definitely cheap and the heads will strip out easily if you don’t have enough pressure on. I had to mount 3/4” plywood to the wall and the mount spacing is 19” and doesn’t line up with 16” centered wall studs. Securing the plywood to the stud makes it easy to mount this anywhere on drywall. Very happy and it seems to be very sturdy even will all of this weight mounted on it. It definitely should come with more rack screws and nuts so if you’re purchasing this I would buy extra.

This rack mount storage cart is affordable and easy to assemble. It gave my setup a professional look, replacing the risk of damage from keeping equipment on a weight rack.

I ordered the 9U 18" depth version. I was marginally worried about the reviews that said the hinges were difficult to access and the braces can block deeper devices form swinging out. Neither of those proved to be true in the model I got. The latches are accessed from the outside of the rack, so the number of devices have no effect on accessibility. The braces are small enough that as long as you a shorter device in the top and bottom, you should have no issues. I tend to put my patch panels at the top anyway. The larger versions of this rack might still suffer from this brace issue as the likely have larger braces.

My home Ethernet/cable wiring was crammed in a narrow space by the garage door, making it look messy. I mounted it above the door, bundled the wiring into a rack-mounted switch.

I have but the ultimate vacuum tube tester. I used a classic design, the Triplett 3444, and added regulated power supplies to all voltages and added sockets for newer tubes. This rack enabled my modular design to go together very well. The bidirectional swing-open feature is really nice as I can work on the project from either side without disassembling everything.
