not sure at the start but after try on over 200 drill bit its amazing its perfect every time , take 30 seg to setup and grind ,i try many brend drill bit sharpener : drill doctor ,special equipement ...... and no one get close to that i got a BUNCH of old drill bit and a make all new again !!!! best tools i ever buy trust me wort every penny !!!!

Printed instructions are not great but there are plenty of YouTube videos that show how to use it. Is a quality machine and does a great job sharpening drill bits. I'm very happy with it.

I'm impressed with the job it does. After seeing so many reviews on You Tube I finally decided to spend the money. This thing makes Drill Doctor look like a child's toy.

After re-sharpening a couple of dozen 118- and 135-degree drill bits, I'm generally impressed with the results. Grinds are symetrical, bits cut evenly on both faces, holes have minimal "wobble". The included instructions are pretty useless -- you'll need watch a YT video to get up to speed. The collet collection covers 1/8 - 1/2" bits. Collets are ER-20 and ER-25 style. Dialing-in the bit-diameter (web-diameter) is pretty low-precision -- the alignment arrow is an inch away from the dial. My biggest complaint is safety-related: while grinding the point angle on the side port, the abrasive wheel is visible in the top port and it's pretty hard to find a position that's out of the "line-of-fire". Eye/face protection is a must, and the same goes for respirator masks. The collet storage is okay (unless you transport the sharpener 'cuz all the collets will fall out of their retainer holes) but there's no place to put the workholder, kind of a big oversight IMO. All that aside, the unit consistently delivers sharp, well-formed drill bits, which, if you'll excuse the pun, is the whole point.

This thing is very good. It will take a little to understand the directions/instructions, and get used to how it works. If you have the money, just buy it, you will never look back.

Bonjour. Je me suis permis de le démonter, (le bloc noir de l'ajusteur pour la longueur a aiguiser et le boitier orange) a la réception. Je me suis apercu que les collets: 2-3 3-4 et 4-5 était différend en hauteur, ce qui fait qu'ils sont enclin a tomber de leur localisation et qu'au moindre choc les huit autres font de même. Je me suis donc sculpter un bloc de styromousse avec des ouvertures de profondeur correct pour chacun, que j'ai ensuite coller a l'intérieur du couvert avec deux petits crochet en laiton de chaque coté sur le dessus ( suggestions a implanter ) pour retenir le couvercle fermé. J'ai aussi ajouter une pochette de dessicant ( dessous le double fond du support des collets) que j'avais récupéré dans un autre envoi. Je suis très satisfait de ces améliorations. Pierre

Have tried a couple of DD sharpeners, tried by hand on a grinder. Nothing worked well until I bought this sharpener. Its a little pricer than some but it works. Well built, nice design. Very consistent, makes a nice split point sharpened bit. Near fool proof, even for me!! Highly recommend.

I have 3 systems for sharpening drill bits, and this one is now my It beats them all in speed and ease of use, and ties one for sharpening accuracy. I have found it beneficial to put some light machine oil in the bores that receive the chuck. The instructions could be better, but once you figure out dialing in the bit rotation so it is perpendicular with the lines on the collet holder, you will get good results. I used it to sharpen centre drills with great results. I have managed to sharpen bits as small as 1/8" and the result is surprisingly good. However, it does take a little more time to orient the bit in the chuck, but it is certainly doable. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

I've used a lot of drill bit sharpeners over the years, and this one is by far the best I've ever used. It's well built, powerful, and quiet. The only knock I have is that it can't sharpen bits larger than 1/2". It would be nice if it could go up to 3/4". I would definitely buy this again, but I doubt I'll wear it out in my lifetime. I highly recommend this tool.
