I bought the Vevor compost spreader to put down a layer of peat moss over grass seed when I top-seeded my lawn. The spreader worked great to spread 25 bags of peat moss over a large yard. Very well-built. Easy to load product into the spreader. Easy to assemble. Helps to have a second person to assist. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I bought the spreader for top dressing our lawn. Easy to put together, better with 2 people. Did the job perfectly. I was impressed at the quality for the price. Tips: Adding the top dressing at the top of the slope, let the weight roll down instead of pushing up the slope. 1/2 fill the barrel was easier to push and the the soil ‘flew’ out consistently as the barrel turned. After spreading in parallel rows I then went across the rows to finish. This covered any small gaps and pushed the grass a different way to get more soil in deeper.

This is a really good peat moss / top soil spreader. I have been renting these hard to find units and decided to get one and its just as good as the rental. Easy to take apart to store it between seasons. Another good tool from Vevor
