I tried 3 other automatic doors before this one. I returned them all but this one. It works, it is reliable, and now the chickens are used to it. Bottom line, I wanted an automatic door that would do the job and this product does that - day in and day out.

It was easy to install. Easy to program and it does what is supposed to do. My chicks are safe at night.

I love not worrying about my chicken's safety at night; I am not always home so this door has been great! I added some reflective tape to each side of the door so that I can see for sure that it is closed when I check on my girls. We had some trouble with the magnets on the door not being in the right place, or maybe not strong enough. The door would open but the magnets would not trigger the door to stop opening/closing so the gears would grind for about 20 seconds and then close and open again. It eventually would decide to be where it was supposed to be. We have adjusted the door magnets so it works properly; hopefully the batteries will last longer than two months. Water dripped on the door so it was disabled for a day but then began working again.

Worked perfectly for a few months then started acting up. I have to go out every night to check because I never know when it’s going to close properly.

Bought an expensive ($$!) one almost 2 years ago and it had issues. To the point that i took it off and just had it leaning on the fence for almost a year.Came across this one and figured it was a decent price and I can return it if it doesn't work.When i opened the box, I thought it was a bit flimsy but when I set it up, so far, the thing is great! Settings weren't too hard to figure out. It's nothing fancy, which may be a good thing cos then it won't crap out so fast.It's only been a month so who knows but now I don't have to get up early to let them out and make sure I'm home to lock them up. That's a win to me!Will update review in a couple months!

Works great! Installed in no time. I highly recommend it. Had to put mine sideways due to not enough room above the opening and it worked just fine.

I bought this chicken door because of some else's review of it. They had bought others that they had to replace. They did the leg work so I bought this one. It has worked perfectly every time.
