Great Value!
9U
The VEVOR 9U Open Frame Server Rack is an excellent solution for anyone looking to organize a growing collection of networking gear and smart home hubs without breaking the bank.
One of the most compelling reasons to choose this VEVOR model is the price point. It is significantly more affordable than identical units found on major big-box online retailers. Despite the lower cost, it doesn't compromise on the utility provided by more expensive brands, making it a high-value choice for a home lab or utility closet.
The assembly process is straightforward and manageable. The rack features an **adjustable depth (23" to 40")**, which provides great flexibility depending on whether you are mounting shallow switches or deeper server chassis. The inclusion of casters makes it easy to move for maintenance, though it also supports wall-mounting for a more permanent, elevated installation.
For users managing multiple smart home bridges, processors, and mesh points, this 9U rack is a game-changer. It effectively:
Reduces Footprint my Smart Home footprint!
Consolidates scattered devices into a single, vertical stack.
The open-frame design ensures that equipment stays cool compared to enclosed cabinets.
It allows for much cleaner cable routing and easier access to the back of devices.
The VEVOR 9U Open Frame Server Rack does exactly what it promises. It is a sturdy, budget-friendly, and highly functional piece of equipment that drastically cleans up hardware clutter. For those looking to transition from a messy shelf to a professional-looking setup, this is a top-tier recommendation.

Robust and smooth wheeling
9U
A little tedious to put together, but it's sturdy and handles a lot of weight (I have rack mount batteries in mine) and wheels nicely.

Sturdy and Versatile Solution for Compact Server Setups!
9U
The VEVOR 9U Open Frame Server Rack, 23''-40'' Adjustable Depth, is a solid choice for organizing networking equipment! This 4-post, carbon steel rack supports up to 500 lbs when floor-mounted (200 lbs at max depth, 150 lbs wall-mounted) and adjusts from 23 to 40 inches deep, fitting various servers, routers, and AV gear. The open-frame design ensures excellent ventilation and easy access to ports, while the included casters make it a breeze to move. Assembly is straightforward, taking about an hour with the provided 145 M510 screws, 10 M612 cage nuts, and other accessories, though a power drill is recommended for the non-self-tapping screws. The top shelf adds useful storage for tools or monitors, and the corrosion-resistant finish holds up well. My only minor gripe is the spot-welded caster nuts, which can loosen under heavy loads (reinforce if needed). The top cover doesn’t fully extend at deeper settings, but this doesn’t affect functionality. Priced around $70–$80, it’s a great value compared to pricier brands like StarTech, offering robust build quality for small offices or home labs. Highly recommend for a reliable, space-saving server rack!

This was quite easy to assemble. It's strong. The wheels are good for normal floors/carpets. I swapped for larger wheels and a wood bottom to close it in. The trays have the front lip going upwards, so it blocks some devices. I tried to put the tray upside down but it blocked too many screw holes. A+ product. A+ support.

good for the price, but was defective
9U
Seemed like a good purchase for the price, but after assembling 99% of the rack (which was no easy feat due to the limited and vague instructions), the last threading on the base was defective and the caster would not screw into the base. I contacted customer service and they were supposed to send me a new part (which was semi-frustrating as I would have to disassemble half of the rack to reinstall), but apparently the replacement part got lost in shipping. Customer service informed me and opted to refund me $20 so that I could go somewhere locally and find a part for it. Unfortunately I don’t have the time or desire to put in the extra effort, so now I have a $25 rack that is missing a caster on one side…I will say that customer service was prompt and responsive, but wish they would have just sent me a new item instead of partially refunding me and leaving me to my own devices with an non-functioning product.
