Inexpensive cylinder puller does the job
Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine Liner Puller
Used this on my Allis Chalmers I-40 to remove the cylinder liners. I had to remove some material from the pulling disc with a flappy wheel on my angle grinder to make it fit. Let's face it, if you need this tool to remove cylinder liners every day, than this is not for you. It's very cheaply built, the bearing on top is very low quality, you must grease it and crimp the bearing case to the bearings or they will fall out. Mine stayed together for removal of all 4 liners. The 2 support pipes are made of tin foil, but they work. I will probably only use this tool 1 more time in my life, and it is available for my friends to use, so they do not have to buy it. I gave this tool a good review, because it did what it was supposed to, and it did not break, "yet"! I have a pic of tool in use, but it would not let me load it?

Worked well you my have to sand/grind the edges smooth to fit the cylinder walls. The price was right for a one time use.

Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine Liner Puller
Puller works well, with the plates to suit the different size liners the flexible head allows ease of fitting down the liner. The friction bearing to provide assistance with the puller failed as it wasn't heavy duty enough to withstand the forces pulling a very tight liner out.

Works good
Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine Liner Puller
For a cheap liner puller it’s great. Pulled the liners on a 3020 diesel easy.

System is good, thrust bearing is weak.
Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine Liner Puller
For the price, a good kit with many sleeve size applications possible. Will remove normally seated sleeves with no problem, but with one sleeve rather corroded into place, damaged the thrust bearing nearly instantly. All in all. should work for the occasional sleeve replacement.

Good puller
Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine Liner Puller
Good puller for the price comes with several different types sizes to accommodate different sleeves. Will work with a 1466 international. Beats building one from scrap.

Not quite up to the task
Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine Liner Puller
Most of this tool is decently constructed, however the deck surface "stand-offs" are made of aluminum tubing. I suppose this was in an effort to keep from damaging the block, but under significant force pulling dry liners they just crumple. As stated the bearing is also pretty garbage and gets chewed up but the threads, handle, and puller attachments are stout. It did what I needed it to for one sleeve but the rest i ended up having to chisel out. Might work well for wet liners but without modification on dry liners it was a bust.

Well made parts although the tubes are not as instructed, They do not attach to top bar as I instructed in hand book which made it very difficult to use I had to put cylinder head bolt in block to keep tube in position Not very easy to use really disappointed Have I got wrong top bar and tubes?
