Remote control is a joke -- fan OK
42W
I like this fan or the theory of it so I put 2 of them on my SW USA desert home of 2,000 sq ft. Potential repeating temperatures of 115F (46C) I loved the idea of the 110v power as I often see 90F at midnight. So with the "Plus, it comes with a portable remote control so you can turn the fan off from 65 ft away." I could turn the fans on at 5-6AM and cool the "attic" space down before the heat build up gets to the 80F (26C) automatic on function. After the fans were installed and the 110v transformers got power I thought I could hear the fans running in the quiet of the early morning. My roof is a shallow (42 inches rafters to peak) so not much room to crawl around. I installed two WiFi CCTV cameras & put very loose telltail flags on the wire right under each fan to monitor their running. Works great - tap my tablet and the two fans show the telltail up (fan ON) or down (fan OFF). ISSUE IS that NO ONE at the factory understands American English to be able to write (emails) HOW THE D__N remote is supposed to work. It works as I had it on for about an hour 5AM and it cooled the air 10F BUT I HAVE NO IDEA after 15 minutes of trying WHICH COMBINATION OF BUTTONS actually turn the fan ON. - It only did 1 of the 2. After it ran for an hour, I stared at the remote for a minute and hit the "off/on" and the 1 fan shut off. It is supposed to set 4 different time to run & 4 different speeds to run -- HOW to do what is mystery to me. AND at this point very frustrating I have emailed the factory a number of times - first was the manual in the box was the wrong one. Website had the wrong one and finally got it emailed. BUT NO REAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - just what the button are for.. not what combination makes it work. FRUSTRATED!!

Not really impressed with this, the metal work and housing is very thin and flimsy, I can't see it lastly through an Atlantic Canada winter
