Works as it should and good quality. Metal shroud and good instructions for mounting. I did not use the remote or 110v install but I might do it later.

Great quality solar fan, panel quick responsive to sunlight and the remote control is an extra bonus for the operation. My guess is if the solar panel ages in the long run, DC power will take on the energy for the remaining working life. Highly recommanded for any homeowner who want to regulate attic temperatures.

I have 2400 sqft attic and chose to install 3 of these fans. The fact that the bottom flange that attaches to the roof is separate from the body of the fan made for a much simpler installation including replacing the shingles. The attachment of the fan body to the bottom flange was also simple.
We have just been through several days of 80-degree F pulse weather had the fans have been working well.
The only issue I have had is that the manual does not address the use of the electrical connection or the functioning of the remote control. When using only the solar to run the fan it is straight forward. However, it is a little confusing when you have the fan connected to electrical power to understand how the controller interfaces with both the solar and the electrical power.

I got a recommendation about this product by my contractor.
I ordered it and received it within two days.
The contractor installed it the following day and it is amazing.
It takes all the warm temp away from my house :)
You can't tell the fan is working, it is quiet and good.
Flies don't get in, since there's a screen.
I'm happy :)

50 watt panel runs the fan in direct sunlight but is affected a lot by cloud cover but at a slower speed than the 110v power supply.

Installed two of these as replacements for passive ventilation in our garage. I was able to install both of them by myself in less than 3 hours, I could easily see this being a job that could be completed in less than an hour if you've done it before. I had no issues installing the flashing or setting the solar panel to the best angle for my area. The directions are rather lacking for how to install on a shingle roof, and I did need to reference outside material for how to do so. I made sure to test the fans on the ground via the AC cord before installing them on the roof via just solar for now. The difference in the garage was noticeable within several hours of installation. Product exceeded my expectations, especially since it is still running on just solar power right now.

Was normal install. Had to add outlets for the adapters. Would like to see the lip on the base plate about 1/2 inch taller so the fan is easier to install on the base plate. Are quite, can hear them from the ground only when it is really calm. Not sure why you are not supposed to use the remote if the thermostat is hooked up.
