Installation was easy and straight forward. Bushing keyway was too small so I made a key to fit. Was really not a problem. I’ve been using it 4 days now and running it hard all day long. It’s been great so far.

My vertical mill is not a supported model, but I was able to adapt this 450oz/in unit to a LHS drive using a steel plate, few sprockets and a length of chain. the handle has different detents behind it, and it can be converted to a horizontal mount pretty easy. drive shaft was 8mm, so a type 25 chain fit with some relief around what used to be the bevel gear. (B09QSQZY47) Overall, once it got it in, it works as it should, easy to set speed and change direction with the left hand and add oil with the right. The steel support plate doubles as a spot to stick down a large magnetic tray with collets and mill bits. also, my light clips on in just the right spot.

This is basically what I was looking for. I had to make a modification so it would fit my Bridgeport and fortunately I have a lathe and could turn the item down to make it fit, but for the price difference and since I have the equipment I didn't see it as a big deal. I figure most who are purchasing this item would most likely also have a lathe so they could modify the item as needed. :)

After reading reviews I expected to have to make modifications. Built a new mounting bracket and extended out about 12” to keep full table travel. It works great but be prepared..

Like others have said, the directions are very vague. The keyway is cut too small, some modification needed. I put mine on a old Bridgeport. The variable speed does oscillate at very low speed, works good enough for me.

My husband wanted this for Christmas! He said it works great absolutely no problems.

unbolted the old and the new went right into place works perfect even for a upgrade

I had this installed in about a half hour on my j head Bridgeport. I needed to file the key way on the brass gear slightly so the woodruff key would fit.My machine previously had the same "style" powerfeed on it when my buddy owned it. He removed it for his new machine.The instructions are horrible, but if you own a milling machine you should be able to install this without too much trouble. I'll update my review after 6 months. Just installed it today (1/31/22)
