it is great. I am building a new home and doing the rough electrical and the dispenser keeps the wire under control as it is spooled out.

Using this item for romex, helpfully tip leave the wrapper on and pull from the inside. It will not get the backlash that happens when pulling from the outside with the plastic wrapper off the romex

For the money this thing is great. Works well with both spools and coils. Easy to change the configuration without tools and the arms that hold a coil up won't come off unless purposefully disassembled. For better or worse it's lightweight. The legs that form the base don't fit very tightly, so the thing flops around a bit in use. Not wiggles, flops. I already had one of the plastic feet pop off too although I managed to find it and reattach. The welds on the legs don't inspire much confidence and the steel is thin, so I would be gentle if you had a heavy spool on it. Don't drop it down on the floor if moving it loaded, set it down easy. This product is good for typical coils (250' or less) of NM or MC cable, or spools of rope/mule tape or relatively light spools of wire/cable. Definitely good enough for the weekend warrior who needs an extra set of hands for a project.
