Bee Hive, but not sure it qualifies as a beginner \"kit\"
This is labeled as a Bee Hive Starter Kit for Beginners or Pros. I wouldn't call it a kit, as there is no cover. It's all covered in beeswax to make it weather proof, but the weather will be coming in the top. I would expect something labeled as a kit good for beginners would have everything needed included, so that's a little misleading. It also makes me wonder if there is anything else missing that I don't know about because I am a beginner. It takes a little time to put together the pieces, but seems well constructed and sturdy. I love the little viewing window. There are also a lot of frames that go in the box, hopefully resulting in lots of honey. It also has indented handles to make the box easy to move around. Overall, a nice bee hive box, but do your research first to make sure you know what you are getting and what extras you may need.

Beautiful, but not complete
VEVOR Bee Hive Deep Box Starter Kit, 100% Beeswax Coated Natural Cedar Wood, Langstroth Beehive Kit with 10 Frames and Foundations, Transparent Acrylic Bee Windows for Beginners and Pro Beekeepers is a really gorgeous hive. The craftsmanship, for the most part, is fantastic. (On a minor note, the only way to assemble it was with the logo upside down. But that was no big deal- I had to choose between that or the handles being upside down, and opted for the logo!) So, from a construction point of view, I would actually give this five stars. Where this is lacking is that the Deep Box alone is in no way a \"starter kit.\" From all of the reading, research and consultation with beekeeping experts that I did, it is clear that I need more \"parts. There is no top or bottom on the box. This means that the frames containing the combs would be exposed to rain , preditors and things like moths. If you look at the picture of the \"Medium Box,\" you will see that there is a lid. That is missing from this item. From what I have learned, I would not be able to put this box, as assembled, out and expect it to work for beekeeping. I would need the stack as shown with the medium box. I think that the directions (as this is marketed as being for beginners as well as experienced beekeepers) need to explain more about this so customers know that they need more. As I said, it is a wonderful product, but it is misleading to say that it is a \"starter kit\" when, in fact, more is needed.

Nice
I had to drill holes in the box to allow the bees entrance. As a beginner, there is no top or bottom for the box so I had buy some plywood to cover both. I did nail the box together as everyone else suggested. Overall a good box and will purchase another one at this price to add to this one.

Rustic looking with a charming old fashioned feel.
My immediate sense was that this was constructed of a good quality wood. It isn't overly heavy but not a lightweight either. The dovetail joints really added to the rustic look and feel of this. The main sides are covered in wax. Some portions were a little thick in the coverage so I did heat it up with me electric heat gun and it melted in well. I only had to buff it a little. I was amazed at how many of the frames actually fit inside the box. They moved in and out relatively easy. Putting this together was very simple with the pictorial assembly guide. It's extremely sturdy and performs as well as could be expected. I'm waiting for my queen to arrive and will update once the hive is humming this summer.

Nicely constructed kit takes about 90 minutes to complete.
Assembly took me about 90 minutes and needs nothing more than a hammer and a screwdriver. If I had a nail gun handy, that would have sped the process a bit. Everything fits together nicely and the end result is sturdy, easily moved with two built-in handles, and has a fresh cedar/wax scent. The directions were good and those without any woodwork experience may make a mistake or two along the way but there's nothing here that can't be easily corrected. My only difficulty is that this is described as a starter kit for beekeeping beginners. In that case, the product should come with some guidance - what else does one need? Shouldn't there be a top? How about a base? Do I simply put this outside on the ground as is and await the arrival of bees? None of that is explained, so a true beginner will go off to search the Internet for guidance. A search for Langstroth Hive will bring you what you need to know.

Nice, but basic, starter kit
This is a nice, simple, way to get started in bee keeping. This is just the bee hive so you will need a few more things to get started. But, it is a great beginning. One thing of note is that this does not come assembled. You get a box with a bunch of wood. It is precut and does assemble pretty easily, but just be aware. Once I put it together it turns out to be a good little introductory kit.

Beautiful Beehive
From the minute I opened the box, I was impressed. The smell of cedar and beeswax was a super pleasant surprise. I have a few products from Vevor and every single one of them are high quality. This beehive is no different. You can see and feel the quality. The wood is thick and just beautiful. I'm just beginning my beekeeping journey and this beehive is the perfect size for me. It has ten trays that I hope will be filled with honey in the near future. The instruction manual, and a little common sense, make this beehive pretty easy to assemble. There are a lot of pieces in the box but don't let it fool you. Assembly is easy. It kind of reminds me of the old Lincoln logs. Lol I love the viewing window and the ventilation. This is a very well thought out hive. I'm still collecting accessories and watching a lot of videos to make sure I make a good home for my bees. I love learning ways to be more self sufficient and this beehive will not only help me harvest my own honey, it will increase my bee population so my gardens will have more pollinators. You won't be disappointed with this beehive. It is made of quality materials and adds beauty to any area. 10+ stars for this gem. I hope this was helpful.

Good buy
Very easy to put together. Priced very well. Hope to buy more in the future. Can't wait to see how the bees like it.

Great purchase, but would make changes
This is a GREAT bee hive and comes already waxed and the price was GREAT. Two things I would suggest: 1. For the wood pieces that are used as stoppers for the side view window boards, I would put a metal grommet in the hole so the pieces of wood do not split. They have pre-drilled holes, but I had two split just barely tightening or what I thought was tight enough to hold them. 2. The actual frames and the mortised areas for the bottom, top and side pieces seem to be loose. All of mine are loose and I will need to glue and brad staple them together.

Fairly easy to assemble, bees wax coating seems to cover everything well, time will tell. Yes, I would buy it again.
