Customer Reviews for VEVOR Desktop Bookshelf, 2-Tier Desktop Storage Organizer, 37.2" x 9.5" x 28.9" Office Storage Rack Wood Display Shelf, Desktop Bookshelf Hutch with Anti-Slip Feet Pads, for Office, Home & Dorm, White

I was expecting this to be on the lower end of the quality scale, but it's not. The "wood" is the usual particleboard, but it's pretty good as such things go, and the veneer is heavier and thicker than I expected it to be, and quite scratch-resistant. I would know because I actually cut the pieces apart in order to fabricate some custom under-desk shelves, and scoring the veneer to get a clean cut was much more difficult than I expected. I had trouble cutting the veneer even with a razor knife, and it even resisted drilling (to an extent). I expect the finish will last a long time under normal use. Sawing and drilling also showed the base material to be quite good. I expect there will be some variability, and so you might get a set with voids or other problems, but I've found Vevor to be very good at refunding or replacing defective product. None of the pieces I got had any problems whatsoever. Note that I only did these modifications because I couldn't find anything that fit my application in a beech finish off-the-shelf, and so I used this product as raw material. You do NOT need to do any sawing or drilling to assemble the product as intended. Normal assembly would be very easy and can be done with a screwdriver, which I think was actually even included in the kit. My Frankenstein shelving ended up being very strong, so I'm sure the intended end product will also be strong and sturdy. I bought this on sale, which made it an excellent value. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

Belle étagère, fonctionnelle et de qualité

I have been slowly moving my office/craft room from an upstairs room to a downstairs room. It's a much smaller room I'm moving to, so I've had to get different desks/worktops and storage solutions. I will admit that I've been grabbing whatever I think will work before I have the space finished and then we shall see... Well, I just received this VEVOR 45.3"W Desk Shelf with Grid Panel, Desktop Bookshelf Storage Hutch yesterday and put it together this morning. Boy, was assembly easy! I finished it by myself in about 20 minutes before I'd had my coffee. Everything was labeled, the only small parts are screws (all the same size screws for everything! woohoo!), the allen wrench, the feet, and the anchoring straps, and even so, they were each separated into their own plastic bag and labeled. The pieces were packed with styrofoam so none of them touched; therefore, no scratches in shipping. The shelves came with corner protectors. The instructions were dead simple—just a few steps. All the holes lined up perfectly. Each piece felt sturdy, and the finished hutch is strong and heavy. The only part I skipped, for now, was attaching the anchoring straps to it and the wall, because I have not fully committed to this being its forever spot. (Note: I had a terrible time removing the stickers from the underside of one shelf. So be prepared with a heat gun or some goo-gone spray or a razor blade... or just make sure you put that shelf on the bottom, so you won't see the stickers. 🤣) My only regret is that I chose white rather than the dark brown. I'd ordered this white hutch with natural wood shelves some time ago. In the meantime, I finished painting the walls of the new office and started moving furniture in—I realized my existing main worktop was too big for the new room. Hubs ran out to the lumber yard to buy a sheet of mdf and made me a new one. But here's where I ran into problems: because I'd gotten an awesome electric standing desk (you know, the kind that can slide up and

Perfect for a dorm room!

Assembly was fairly easy, but there is one joiner you have to decide either secure the wall or the shelf. It's solid and definitely helped organize some of the clutter on my desktop.

Great size and perfect for the dorm desk! Super easy to put together and very sturdy

I originally wasn’t going to buy this after reading the reviews, but I’m so glad I did because it is great quality, easy to build, and instructions are clear. I bought this for my dorm room and I most definitely recommend it!

Fits nicely on my desk. Make sure you know your desks weight limit. Directions were clear.

Very prompt delivery. Easy to assemble and suits my needs perfectly.

Often these online come smaller than they look (having been photoshopped in), but this was as it seems. Added to teen desk & functions great. As expected given a good price.
