Works wonderful

Mine got beaten to hell in shipping. It was sticking out of the side of its all but shattered box when I got it. Some rust and a chipped end, but all of that was almost certainly the delivery folks hating a heavy box. I did find used anvils of higher quality and similar price locally after the fact, and found it at a lower price than on the vevor site later as well so that was a bummer. So maybe shop around a bit. It's perfectly serviceable from my unskilled perspective though. I got it to learn a little smithing so my opinion on quality isn't the most reliable. But by my estimate it tested at about 70 or 80% of the ball bearing bounce height a blindingly expensive anvil produced at literally a tenth of the cost. So I'm still perfectly content and won't ship it back even with its damage it incurred.

This was a good anvil easy to use. Seems well built. Shipping box not so much almost fell out in shipping.

Receive the annual package very well for the cost I was not expecting a whole lot. I knew it would do what I wanted it to do. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hardness very acceptable for the entry price level. I did not check it with the ball bearing, but my 22 ounce ball pan hammer bounces really well. I did knock a little bit down on the quality because the Hardy hole is really not straight. it’s kind of taper, which is really not a problem. I have not found any defects. I’ve only used it two or three times so far and it has held up very well under hot steel while I’m pounding it overall I would give it a 97 because of the price.

I am very pleased with this 110 lb. anvil. Both the Hardy hole and Pritchard holes are correctly sized. The edges are a bit too sharp, but nothing I cannot correct. Great rebound with a 5/8" ball bearing (over 70% rebound). Nice sound on the anvil face when struck with a 2 1/2 lbs. hammer. Overall I opine this anvil to be of a superior value for a DIY hobbyist.

its about as good of a deal on an anvil as you can get for a new one. they ship it free which is insane. it is cast steel so obviously don't leave it to the elements or it will rust.
