It is great machine, i use to make water for my carnivorous plant. The down side just a little bit loud, other then that work perfect

Makes enough distilled water for a large pot of coffee with some water left over. Works just fine. Instructions need work as it is not written well. After use I put some white vinegar in it to clean the scale off. It comes with some citric acid crystals for cleaning which I used as directed for first time use. Not sure if one is supposed to use it the same way for regular cleaning. Also came with a metal spout I have yet to figure out how it is to be used, if at all.

This little countertop distiller is an inexpensive alternative to buying distilled water at the grocery store. So far, I have produced about 10 gallons of distilled water and it performs as advertised. I have an ice machine of the same brand that is now 3 years old, so hoping this distiller will last as well. The drawbacks are these: First, the operator's manual lacks a lot for clarity. Secondly, either the machine or bottle are not to dimensional tolerances, so that when the receptor nozzle is on the bottle it is slightly higher than the dispenser nozzle on the distiller, causing the head of the distiller to be slightly cocked and compromising the seal between the head and body of the distiller. I solved this problem by taping some pennies on the feet of the distiller to make it slightly higher.

We use a bit over a gallon of distilled water a day and were tired of going to the store and buying gallon jugs of distilled water. After a little research this looked like the device I was looking for, there were other more pricey distillers with extra features - but I was looking for simple functionality. I've only distilled 15 gallons of water and am extremely happy with the device. The instructions aren't very clear - a few minutes on Google and you can find everything you need to know. I set it up at night and turn it on when I go to bed, a fresh gallon is ready in the morning.

I paid $100 for a Vevor distiller which lasted 1.5 years. This one cost $58 new, but it has a plastic jug. I bought the more expensive one last time because I prefer glass over plastic to be safer toxic-wise. My old glass jug fits this one. This one has a reset switch which you switch after you turn on the power button which I like better than the last one. The last one didn't have an on/off switch so I had to unplug it to shut off the power. (Though it does shut off automatically; I just like to remove the electrical connection because even being plugged in, it still uses a little bit of electricity) On my former distiller, when I cleaned it after each use, I would run water on the loose minerals in the bottom which would remove most of it, and then use a nylon scrubber to get any residue. On this one, though, running water on the minerals at the bottom doesn't remove anything, so I use the nylon scrubber initially. No problem, I'm just curious why this one would be different. Same brand; same 304 stainless steel. This one does drip when I pull it apart more than my last one, which is just a minor inconvenience.

You can distill only a gallon of water per use, but it's okay for the price and for the capacity. I would buy it again if necessary.

works ok for small amounts but slow 5-6 hours for 1 gallon, gives off lots of heat

I have made over 60 gallons of water from well water that is not fit to drink it bills with toxics and mud every year when it rains and it's only 48 ft deep this thing works like a charm I pay $8 for 6 gallons of water every few days from the store distilled or purified water. I have made over 60 gallons of water with this and it does wonderful it clears all the impurities out gets rid of all the metals and all the nonsense that's in the water and the water tastes great it works like a charm and Beaver has an awesome warranty on it so I mean it was a quality piece of equipment and it's already paid for itself I pay less than $0.25 a gallon for water at this point could you count the electricity and the water from the well using more electricity I highly recommend this and I highly recommend you buy it directly from vevor
