I bought 2 handrails and installed them today onto wooden steps using the supplied lag screws. Those worked just fine and the now that all is done I am impressed with the weight and sturdiness. The packaging seemed fine except the cross bar and handrail were wrapped together and paint was badly scratched on the top of both sets of cross bars. Also one mounting flange on the long post (of both handrails) was bent nearly 90 degrees, seemingly on purpose to fit the box, since neither padding nor boxes were damaged. Time on the bench vise corrected both but some paint cracked off. Also the item video shows a 2 piece base flange cover to install after the handrail is completed. I opened those last, and surprise! They are one piece, so now I have to remove the top and middle rails to slide down the flange covers. Check all the components, folks, cause the instructions don't mention it. I do love the arch shape and design but it seems like the posts could be a few inches shorter. I'm still giving 4 stars and recommending it, just be advised of a few hiccups!

I installed this handrail onto a small wooden landing I built to the back of a 120 yr old house. It looks like it belongs with it's style and the homeowner is extremely happy about the strength and of the looks.

Bought this beautiful steel railing August 2026. Great railing without spending a lot of money. Had someone take apart the flagstone steps then cement them all together and actually purchased longer screws for concrete and it is very secure. We have family with mobility issues so this is ideal!! Very happy and highly recommend this awesome CANADIAN company 💕🇨🇦

Just put in a second hand rail. Had the first one for 5 years? attractive, sturdy, and easy to install.

This is a really nice looking handrail. I purchased it because my father got one maybe five years ago and still loves it and has no issues with it. Installation was as expected, and all of the parts needed were included in the packaging. My husband was able to do it himself, but you do need to have a power drill. Aesthetically it is very nice looking. Simple but solid and sturdy. We have non-traditional spaced steps going up to the front porch and this still worked. I ordered the longest size – the size 4 - 5. I actually could’ve used another foot longer because we wanted to take the rail base all the way to the sidewalk instead of starting on the first step (See pictures) but didn’t have any choice but to start on the first step. My only complaint is that it does tend to be rust susceptible. We already have some minor rust spots at the soldering points from when my husband had it sitting out for about a week before installing it. He is going to paint and put a topcoat on those spots to keep it from continuing to rust, but this shouldn’t be happening in the first place. I would return it and ask for a new one if it wasn’t so tedious to take the thing apart and send it back off. But for this price point, it is very heavy duty and looks great. I do recommend this product, with keeping in mind that there is potential for rust, hence a 4-star review. I realize some of the other reviewers mentioned the rust issue as well.
