I would suggest weld/mount as close to bucket pivot as possible and remove paint from weld area. I purchased a 18" for a 17" bucket.

The product is just fine unfortunately Fedex lost the center support and all three pins I’ve made multiple contacts with the company to get replacements said it would take 30 days to get replacements it’s been over a month I still have not seen my missing parts buy from someone that has better customer support and want to satisfy the customer !!!!

This is a great product that welded on easily. Strong metal was able to pick up a tree no problem. Just make sure you buy the right length for your bucket.
