1. The Escutcheons covers were too flimsy! The term Escutcheon is the description of the stainless steel covers of swimming pool ladders which fastened into fittings in the concrete around the pool. The stainless steel covers [2 of them] cover the metal nuts securing the pool ladder to the brackets embedded in the concrete. The heads of the nuts stick above the concrete about 5/8". This cover protects the nuts from dirt, debris and damage. The handrail I purchased has the same Escutcheons covering the nuts fasting the 2 posts to concrete/wood. I bought a package of 4 Escutcheons for $12.00 for a swimming pool and replaced the damaged parts. The pool Escutcheons I bought were MUCH thicker stainless gauge. The covers I bought were 4" wide and 3/4" high with the same 1.9" hole in the center. The two metal covers with the handrail kit were both so badly damaged as to be not useable. The tubes were covered with thin plastic. However, the vertical posts had no coverage around the Escutcheons rings which were damaged beyond recovery. The tubes were placed in a haphazard mess. The nuts, bolts and tools were dropped in to the shipping box. I found several small torn plastic bags in the shipping box and one still had a single bolt assembly. The shipping box had two layers of tape on the outside so I figure someone had returned their order. I was surprised! ALL parts were in the Box. I will send a copy of this letter and I am a happy customer because the $12.00 spent was well worth the results to me. I now have two new shinny Escutcheon covers for my swimming pool ladder. The old covers were 50 years old and muched used. Thanks Ellis ElRey maidee I`ll be reordering another handrail when it is in stock.

This staircase handrail has been installed for about 1 year. It has not corroded despite being in a damp slightly salty environment. The shine of the stainless steel is eye-catching and warns pedestrians of stairs ahead.

I will never buy from this company again. Your return policy is horrible!!!! It's complicated, It's expensive, your customer service sucks, and the quality of you products does not live up to all of that.

Railing looks great and serves its purpose. However I want to put caps on each end and cannot find them.

Good quality, looks fine and serves its purpose. However, the retaining bolts are an odd size and determining the correct drill bit size was a bit perplexing.

The product is very sturdy and looks great. I like the idea that the handrail adjusts to a variety of angles. This is very useful. However, with the adjustment, the product lacks a good way to lock-in the final angle of the handrail. The two sections have a disk on either end that fit together. A steel ball, split in half, contains a threaded rod on one side. The idea is to place the threaded rod through the opening where the disks come together. Then, you tighten the other half of the steel ball over the threaded rod. The problem is you can't tighten the two halves of the steel ball enough to keep the disks from slipping, changing the angle of the handrail. My solution was, after the two disks are anligned to the correct angle for the handrail, drill a hole through both disks and insert a small bolt to keep the hand rails and disks, from slipping. After doing that, the handrail maintains the correct angle and is strong.

Just purchased my second one.
The railing fixed an issue on new construction where the first vertical post needed to be on the first stair rather than on the concrete. It looks good and will serve our purpose. This would have been a 5 star rating except for two things. The packaging came damage and there were loose screws in the box that had come out of the plastic bag. The second one was damaged also but not quite as bad. There needs to be more packing at the ends of the box as the pipes slide and cut the cardboard. The other thing that would be nice would be a plug for the open ends of the pipe. My daughter got badly stung because a hornets nest was inside a railing and she did not know it. I have a 3D printer so I just printed some plugs. The outside diameter is 2 inches and the inside diameter is 1 15/16 inches.

Sturdy handrail for seniors
This is a wonderful product. The circumference on the handrail is large enough that my mother's arthritic hands have no problem gripping. The rails are smooth, so they're nice to grab, but they can be a little slippery, but not enough to cause gripping problems -- or not enough to cause problems for my parents.
