Some time smaller is better

I bought this primarily for building handrail, it works great for plumbing posts and holding them steady until you can tack a rail in place. However, with it's half ton rating I feel confident using it to rig light loads when installing equipment like motors as well.--UPDATE--I've had it for 2 months now and have have probably used it almost every day at work. As stated earlier, I primarily got it for fabbing handrails but it has proven to be very useful for installing conveyors and their components. I'm still very pleased with it, however I do have one complaint. It does not free-spin well in neutral or the down position. This can be a nuisance when trying to introduce slack in the line since you have to crank and crank on it. It be an adjustment issue or maybe a defect, I don't know. It free-spins perfectly when removing slack though, and hasn't failed under load, so it's still a very useful tool.

Gotta admit strange to write this but the heavy duty bag it comes with just ices the cake. I got two but (full disclosure we use a ton of these) to hoist out 600lb compressors in HVAC/R. All the guys get these they are a common hoisting tool in our trucks. One lifts the compressor the other pulls it out of the frame of the unit. 100 hp electric motor / pumps repairs / replacements. Great for auto mechanics / welders etc.

This is one of those tools that when you use it you won't be without one.
