Much sturdier than I expected based on the official product photos. The "42" in the title of this product is the height of the railing. 32" is the more common height (& what we cut ours down to).My Dad found this easy to install, but the items included were a problem.The provided drill bit is Chinese origin & doesn't work with the drills common in the US - it had a SQUARE base & is an uncommon/unused size.The provided masonry/concrete bolts were also sized to the weird-size drill bit. We ended up buying a new drill bit.You'll also need a Hammer Drill if you're installing this on a concrete patio like I did.

Great railing with everything you need to install except the hammer drill for concrete. Be sure to take the bit that comes in the package if you plan on renting a hammer drill as the smaller drills cannot accept this size drill bit.

It is a very sturdy bannister and makes it much easier and safer for me to go up the steps.

2 step fit perfectly. Tough to use threaded bolts provided for installation so husband got concrete anchor bolts instead. Much easier. We had gotten an estimate for a contractor to build wooden rails. These were a 3rd of the price.

The anchors that came with this rail are for mounting to brick or concrete. I purchased lag bolts to mount to a wooden post on my porch. Easy to install and very sturdy.

I installed this handrail on the right side of my front porch. It perfectly serves its purpose but doesn't stick out like a sore thumb!!! I love the design and the simplicity.
