The pump works OK but I have had trouble with it sealing. The gaskets included are very thin and it takes more torque on the bolts that what i expected. Also, it just does not give me confidence that it will last and not conk out prematurely. Kind of wish I'd stuck with the Taco 007. Maybe I will switch.

So far so good and obviously a great price. Just make sure you realize you unscrew the plug on the end that attaches to the circulator, unscrew the small clamps on the wires power cord provided and insert the wires from your heating system. It does not need to plug into the wall - incase you get confused as I was.

In auto mode - if the heating system TRV or zone valve was to close, with this pump scale back and be already not pumping against a closed valve? And then when the TRV/zone valve opens, the pump will ramp up and start flowing hot water through the system???
Yes, it will slow down when TRVs/zone valves close and ramp up when they open, but it does not stop/start based on valve position. it continuously modulates based on pressure and flow demand.
