I purchased this stand as well as the taller one with the saddle on top. I wanted both types of pads. I like that this stand is short and the pad on top is very nice. The bearing is recessed to keep it clean and everything functions nicely. My complaint is the base. The wheels are useless. The stand must be leaned way too far to get the wheel to contact and then when it's pulled to move , the top threaded section lifts out. A simple round base is superior.

Let's get to the flaws first: The top "screw" isn't held in by anything other than gravity. This means it's a pinch hazard if you pick it up, and there's no stops if you are lifting something and exceed the screw length. It will literally come out, which will cause whatever you're lifting to fall (ask me know I know). Watch your hands around the top points, and paint the last few inches of the lifting part a bright color (when the paint starts to show, STOP). Otherwise it's pretty stable and strong. I use it under my lift for stability or to hold things up (suspension, rear axle) ..

This thing is beefy and does what it should. AND!!! It has wheels !!! I like the pin feature so no more spinning the wing nut to make it taller. And did I mention the wheels??!!??!! For diy or for everyday shop use this thing will do the job and do it well. Comparative units on the tool trucks cost 200-400 bucks, for the money it’s a no brainer

This pole jack works great with the 12000 car lift I bought when I retired. It can keep the engine balanced while you remove the transmission. It can support the exhaust while installing hangers! I greatly recommend it.

Seems to do the job. Getting it to sit flat took a BFH and some aggressive persuasion, but it sits flat now. Bolts should be better than they are for what they are doing.
