Do you have to empty top bin into lower or will it auto stop making ice when top ben is full? Does it auto drop nugget ice without assistance.

It will stop automatically when it is full of ice. When it is full, you can swap the upper drawer and the lower drawer. The drawer must be pushed to the bottom to open the drain valve stem. The water will drain after the ice melts.
