When the valve closes or open for a new ice harvest, it make a sound. Is that normal? Another thing, the machine did not come with a filter, do I need to buy one? Or the unit is fine without one? Thank you Ray

Can you add an electric drain pump to this model?

This model is designed for gravity-fed drainage and does not come with a built-in electric drain pump. While it is technically possible to install a third-party external condensate/drain pump, doing so requires proper professional plumbing installation to ensure the pump matches the drainage capacity of the unit. Please note that unauthorized modifications to the internal drainage system may void your warranty. We recommend using a gravity drain whenever possible.

Does it have a gravity drain or a built in electric drain pump?
