I need this cap to fit OVER the top of the chimney itself. There is no flue tile. It looks from the photos that a flange can extend the bottom measurement but only by drilling into the top of the chimney. Can this cap’s bottom be extended to fit OVER a chimney that is slightly larger than 17x21”? My chimneys are 17 1/2” x 21x 1/2”. Will this cap fit over this dimension, and if so, how is the cap secured to the chimney top? Tension screws in the side? Thanks.
