I don’t want to use a check valve. I’ve calculated the amount of water that would be returned to the basin and it isn’t enough to turn on the pump. If this is true, do I really need one. Will it affect the efficiency of the pump? It’s only 2 gallons which isnt much. Also, this pump is installed outside so flooding wouldn’t be an issue. Thanks
Installing a check valve is mainly to prevent water in the water pipe from flowing back into the puddle, causing the water pump to start frequently. Installing a check valve does not affect efficiency. We recommend installing a check valve. If you have tested that the water backflow in the water pipe will not affect other problem, it can also be used without a check valve.

Can this pump be used in a inground swimming pool? What hooks up to this? A garden hose? If so, what size?
It is generally not used in in-ground swimming pools. The water pump is mainly a light sewage pump used in basement sump pits. This type of pump can be connected to a garden hose and is 1-1/2 inches in size.
