How many gallons per minutes will it pump vertically through a 50 foot garden hose?
Answer This Question
At a vertical height of 50 feet, the lift exceeds the maximum lift of the pump by 30 feet, and the water pipe will not discharge water. If the hose is horizontal, the water flow rate depends on the actual lift of the pump, which can only be estimated, about 40GPM.

Can the float switch assembly be removed, and my own level switches be used instead?

Can this pump be used to pump out an in-ground swimming pool?
Answer This Question
It is not recommended to use it to pump underground swimming pools. This pump has a water level switch with start and stop water levels. The stop water level is 4.5 inches, which means that this type of water pump cannot pump the water clean, and there will be 4.5 inches of water level remaining.

Can this pump be used in a inground swimming pool? What hooks up to this? A garden hose? If so, what size?

It is generally not used in in-ground swimming pools. The water pump is mainly a light sewage pump used in basement sump pits. This type of pump can be connected to a garden hose and is 1-1/2 inches in size.

Needed new sump pumps and found these. Easy to set up work great. Good price too. My only complaint is they are louder than my previous ones which i almost never heard for 10 years. These i hear on a regular basis. Its a nice reminder that they are workimg but i would prefer not to hear them

For trying it out I used the bucket, however we got it to use in the backyard when it floods every year.It moves water out very quickly. Seems to be made from good quality materials, and built to last.Only thing we didn't notice til I jad it was does Not come with hose attachment but we got one

This VEVOR 1/2 HP Sump Pump, 3960 GPH Cast Iron Submersible Sewage Pump is $154, is expensive overall, but I feel like overall it works. It is a plug-in, though, so make sure you have an extension cord. The instructions are fairly straightforward, and I use it to pump my pool just fine.

Fits in my pit and has enough power to get the job done
I was worried that it would be difficult for me to install this sump into my pit but it was really very easy. I was replacing a pump that stopped working. Since then it seems to be working just fine and I have had no basement floods.
