Can I drill a hole to a ceramic vessel without cracking it?
1. It will depend on you Bit of choice . It requires a ceramic bit.
2 it will need to be able to be secure to the table. It it moves it will break
3. The hole will need to be drilled on a flat section of the ceramic. A flat tile is easy a round service is hard.

the type of drill doesn't matter. it could even be done with a hand drill. the actual DRILL Bit itself is what matters. I'd suggest either a diamond hole saw kit or masonry drill bit set. Start at an angle with the diamond hole saw and start at a slow speed. once some progress is made, slowly tilt it straight and continue until you're through the material. Hope that helps.
