How much needs to be pounded into the ground to make it sturdy generally?
Not sure, as it’s still in the box awaiting campfire season

I read all the warning and instructions but one thing it doesn't say is what to do before you first cook on it? Am I to let the griddle heat up over the fire to burn off any access paint to kill any harmful chemicals before cooking meat straight over the steal mesh ( Expanded metal ) grade? Hope u answer quickly. I am going camping real soon! Thanks!
The paint used on the grill is food grade and can be grilled directly on.

How do you get the post in the ground? Using a hammer will cause the end to mushroom which will prevent it from sliding through the grate hole.
It would help if you forcefully pushed the triangular tip into the ground according to the product manual, or you can hit it with a hammer.

There's no handle. How do you remove the grate from the fire when your done cooking, or swivel it out of the way so you can get on with your BIG Fire?
It is recommended that you use gloves to loosen the T-shaped handle and take off the grill, leaving only the pole and the fire. For subsequent use, you can install the grill grid and tighten it with the handle.

How do you get the grate off after hammering it in the ground, the pole has become to wide and the grate won't come off
We encountered a similar problem after pounding in ground also. Had to take a metal grinder to the end to get it back to correct shape.
