great product at a great price

I am amazed at this little bit of technology. The app downloaded to the phone lets you monitor the progress and set a notification when the cooked item reaches temperature. First use was a chicken. Came out spot on. Avoids opening the oven to use an instant read. Excellent product.

Doesn’t keep accurate temp

I had high hopes for this thermometer and bought it as a gift for my dad. He used it side by side with a wired thermometer and found that it didn’t keep accurate temperature. It also did not hold a charge well and the Bluetooth would cut out at less than 30 feet and they’d have to manually be reconnected.

Great!

I charged up the thermometer battery, got the grill warmed up, put the meat on the grill and inserted the meat thermometer. Set my desired temp of 170* and my phone told me when the meat was ready. It was all that easy! I love it!!

Has potential

Doesn't show the ambient temperature. The app is generic. There isn't any options like keeping notes or previous cooks. Doesn't show estimate on cook time. For $50 it should at least show the ambient temperature. Very disappointed. Looks to be well made and the temperature was accurate. Just your basic meter. Range over wifi, was strong. Good quality but lacks alot of options.

The instructions and web support that come with the probe and are on the web are quite adequate. The probe was easy to pair with my phone and once that was done things were ready to move on. I put the probe in a large joint of pork, used the app to get the end result I wanted and a couple of hours or so later I finished up with a perfectly cooked pork joint. The app is very easy to use. Totally satisfied.
