I put the the water in the tank what do I do at the top before turning it on water with ice packs or just ice packs

It is recommended to add water to the ice crystals, then put them in the refrigerator to freeze, then take them out and put them in the upper water tank. Water also needs to be added. You can check how much water is added by looking at the transparent water level bin in the water tank.

Do you need to remove the filters to wash them or can you just rinse while they are in the unit?

Except for the motor in the fan blade and the switch on it, everything else can be washed directly. It is recommended to wipe the fan because it is connected to the motor.

Is there a way to keep the water cold other than continually adding ice? It melts very fast then the air blowing is the same temperature as outside.

The evaporative cooler works great, it has been running 24/7 for three weeks in the Arizona desert, 105 to 110F during the day. The water fill isn't as robust as it should be but everything else is good. F.Y.I I bought a very similar sized one on TEMU for $133.00, if money is tight it's a good deal and works just as well, it has the blue on it in the pic.

Cools pretty good. This type cooler is different and it does well compared to others on the market. It is not an air conditioner with Freon so you can’t expect it to be an air conditioner. Does well

Awesome! Bought 2 so far. Will be buying one more for the last room. Running the central air cost SO MUCH $$$$$. House would only get down to 80° which is just fine, but again, just too much $$$. It was a little over $700 for July. After purchasing 2 of these units, I was still able to get it down to 80°!! Which is AWESOME! Electric bill was then under $300! Yes, $300 versus the latter. This unit was also the best bang for your buck! Believe me, I did some research on these for price and cfm's. This one was at the top of the list for sure.

Excellent cooler!

Don't waste your money on Artic Chills and such. These a restaurant grade coolers that you can use inside and out. Room cooled down to 68 degrees in 11 minutes until I had to turn it down. I live in Cape Coral and our AC is on the blink.
