Why it has to vacuum, even though it comes pre charged. Does there any downside if you don’t vacuum
The refrigerant is pre-charged in the outdoor unit at the factory. After the split-type air conditioner is installed, there is air in the indoor unit and pipes. A vacuum pump must be used to purge the air from the indoor unit and pipes before opening the valves on the outdoor unit to allow the refrigerant to flow into the pipes and indoor unit to ensure cooling performance. Failure to evacuate will significantly affect the cooling effect.

Can the compressor on the outside be mounted sideways or in any position? Will doing so damage the compressor?
The outdoor unit must be installed vertically or laid flat on the roof; it must not be installed horizontally.
The condenser’s air intake is at the top and the drain outlet is at the bottom.
