Purchased vevor 4.8 air compressor for my shop. . I plug it in and turn it on and wait for it to reach the preset presure, it never stops running

Dear friend, The main reason the compressor keeps running caused by the air is not fully filled to reach the tank set pressure. Check for air leakage thought out the line including the moisture drainage located at the bottom side of the air tank. Close it all the way if it still can be turned. Good luck to you my friend.
