Great machine for the price. Bought the machine to sew light to medium leather. Did great job sewing the only problem was the stitch length that maxed out at 3 to 3.5MM I needed 4.5 to 5mm for most of my work. Used the machine for about a month and sold it. Worked out good I was able to sell the machine for purchase price after using it.

This thing is VERY heavy duty. Your domestic sewing machines are like plastic toys compared to this. The body is heavy cast iron machined out like an engine block to hold the various shafts and cams. Parts turn smoothly. The mechanicals look similar to a Juki 8700. The integrated servo motor is what really makes this machine refined enough for us casual sewers, or even beginners, to enjoy. No big motors under the table to deal with. Most of us don't want a machine that only runs at warp 9 speed. Here you can set the top RPM from 200 to 3700 rpm and you get smooth variable speed (with good torque) up to that top RPM setting via the foot pedal. Having that low end torque makes almost everything easier to sew. As for cons, the instructions are slim, it's not easily moved, there is a learning curve, and you may need to tweak a few things. The Juki 8700 manual is a helpful reference. I use it for fabric and it will go through thick denim/duck hems like butter. A very nice machine.

I have an older industrial machine but I needed an up grade. I love my new machine. It is quiet, easier to use.

Love this machine. Very good quality for the price. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone interested in purchasing one.

Excellent product

Greetings and happy new year to all. Happy and impressed with the investment in this machine (JK 9803). It is fast, silent and solidly built. A little trouble with the instructions but it's easy to install. I show a photo of the first work done with the new equipment (The embroidery of course is with another machine). They should try producing industrial overlockers with 4 and 5 threads. Thanks, Vevor (100% satisfied so far).

So far so good. Sews leather good. Manual is not very good . There are a few u tube videos. To help a little. Still have not figured out where to buy spare needles.

Overall the machine is great. I wish the instructions were clear and the photos not dark/ in black & white. I had to search YouTube for clarification for the motor and knee part. Even the YouTuber had to DM someone else for clarification. The video on the website skips a lot of steps. Also, I wish there were clarifications on the features!

After several weeks of use, I am very satisfied with the JK-9803 sewing machine as it is versatile and user-friendly. I also own a Brother SE600 machine, but after having the JK-9803, I no longer use the Brother machine except for occasional needs such as hemstitching, buttonhole, and embroidery. The JK-9803 can handle a wide variety of materials including thick layers of fabric, leather, faux leather, etc. The knee lifter is a super useful feature that helps free up both hands. The machine is low noise and stable largely due to its iron casting construction and 70 lb+ weight. For leather sewing, I was able to use a DBx1 110/18 needle and T90 (#92) bonded nylon thread to sew up to 4 layers of 1.3mm thick leather without much issue. For all other jobs, I simply reduced the needle size down to 100/16 and use whatever threads suited for the job. Note the 5mm max stitch length may not be enough for thicker leather sewing due to the presser foot slippage issue as this is not a walking foot machine. The instructions that came with the machine were not very helpful. I had to spend a good amount of time searching online to gather the required information piece by piece. One of the useful reference documents I found online is the Juki DDL-8700H Industrial Sewing Machine instruction manual (pdf), which contains some critical assembly and threading information. Note when I received the initial shipment package (2 boxes), the machine base corner was cracked due to the shipping and handling issues. However, after calling Vevor customer service, they sent me a replacement machine without any trouble. I now keep the first machine as a keep spare for parts.

I like the machine very much. It would be extremely helpful if it came with an assembly manual of any kind . I had to look up a juki to refer to a manual. The only thing I do not like is that the stich length is very short even on the longest setting.
