Heavy and, once placed, It Won't move.
I'm not using this as a sump pump, per se. My basement has been dry after the first couple years of living here and I', on my 27th year. However, it does get very humid and was causing mildew in my master bedroom where the basement is fully underground.I bought a dehumidifier to address the humidity but that required going downstairs every couple days to empty it or allow the humidity to rise. I ordered a different pump a half year or so that was working well but would drift in the large, 30 gallon I guess, trash can I placed the pump in. Occasionally, the pump would drift sideways, stopping the float from initiating the pump. I had to keep an eye on the humidity in the basement to look for it raising as the water sat there for days. This pump solves that issue. This cast iron pump is over 25 lbs and isn't moving anywhere once placed. The one I replaced was just over ten pounds. This one also has the outlet aiming straight up where the previous one came out the side and then up. All in all, this pump is perfect for my application. The only issue I had with it was the fact that it didn't come with any outlet adapters. A Male 1.5" NPT adapter was required and not being familiar with the NPT standard, I needed to do some research because the outlet it screwed into looked bigger than 1.5 inches, more like 1.75 or even larger when I measured it.I took a leap of faith and ordered one with the other end being 3/4" so I could use the existing garden hose to sent the water out and under my one deck. When i received it, my first thought was that it was too small but it fit perfect, I only mention this to save your time if you are fooled like I was.In a normal sump pump usage, you'd probably use a larger diameter exit hose to evacuate water quicker, particularly during a rainy period. Some of Vevor's pumps have the 1.5" adapters and even include a step down to 1.25" adapter included. For some reason this one doesn't so keep that in mind.Overall, I'm totally satisfied with this s

Easy to install
My basement doesn’t have a drain, so this will help prevent it from flooding. It has a float that will automatically activate the pump when it’s rising from the water. It runs on 115 volt.

Pumps quickly & efficiently!
Is submersible which makes it easy to position and use. Pumps water quickly and has a float that shuts off and turns on the pump when needed. Great for areas that are prone to flooding, crawl spaces, etc. Is well-built and runs quietly. I recommend this pump for anyone with water issues that call for a larger, powerful sump pump.

This motor cranks like a beast and its super solidly built tough for the job!
The 1.5HP sump pump by Vevor, is one serious pump that’s ready to work. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – The quality feels like it’s made out of some heavy duty, good materials. Combine that with the cast iron and stainless steel and this one should provide a good service life.II. Usability – It’s as easy to install as any I’ve tried. I went with the 1.5HP and this one is strong. It pumps like a champ and has done a great job at removing any water I’ve thrown its way. The float switch is super handy and has worked without failure.Overall, this is a workhorse of a pump that has performed tremendously for me so far and left me very happy that it’s in my corner for when the time comes. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Great sump pump!
This pump is very well built and I was surprised as to how well it was made. Right out of the box is made to hookup to my discharge pipe. The grate at the bottom of the pump allows for more input and then output through the discharge pipe than most pumps. It's ability to discharge sump water fast makes it above others in the class in my estimation. Very quiet operating pump! If you need a replacement I would highly recommend this pump.

Seems like a great pump. Able to empty my sump pit faster than my last pump
So like all sump pumps...mine failed on Friday morning during a crazy rain storm. The water was rising so quick in the pit that my backup pump (Basement Watchdog) was only keeping the water level, not lowering it. I quickly pulled out the pump that failed (3/4 hp BWatchdog of unknown age) and swapped in this one. The only difference was this pump requires a male threaded end, while the BW pump was female (using 1.5"). I had to run out quickly and get the threaded end but once I had that it was a quick install and I have to say, this pump definitely empties the sump pit quicker than the BW pump did. Then again, I guess it should if it's double the hp!We will see how long it holds up. It is supposed to be cast iron and stainless steel so it should hold up pretty well. I will report back if I have any problems in the near future but right now I can't complain about this pump at all.

Backup
Was going to use this as our backup pump, but after seeing the quality of it I think may change it over to our primary pump. Love the full cast iron base the make sure the pump stays where you put it. It pumps a ton of water in a very short time to reduce your run time and you engery load.
