Set up for Effluent use, not for sump pump setting
Like others have stated, I also got this to use in a traditional sump pump setting. It says in the instructions not to use in a sump pit, it's to be used as an effluent pump. That means the pump is designed to move small amounts of waste up inclined surfaces, not straight up and out like a traditional sump setting. I'll keep it as a backup/portable pump because this made of heavy cast iron, has a float, and will move a large volume of water quickly. It's just not designed to run as a permanent sump pump.

Impressive pump
I have to say that Vevor makes a pretty impressive sump pump. I think the thing that surprised me the most about it, is the power of the vertical lift. The cast iron housing looks to have a type of enameled coating on it. This coating should keep it running well, even when in some pretty corrosive materials. I am very pleased with this pump and I think you would be too.

Perfect for my basement. This thing is heavy and well made. Performs as it should.

Very fast
I am using this for plumbing jobs, and it is doing a great job at draining large amounts of water quickly.Keep in mind that this pump does not come with a hose. The connection is 1.5 inch iron pipe size.It comes with a float switch attached for when you want to permanently station it somewhere that floods often, but you can remove it for manual pump activation, which is how I use it.

#Adulting
During Covid, we used the isolation to finish our basement. It’s too nice to not be prepared should ANYTHING go awry with our current sump pump. This is our back up to always have ready should it be needed. (Dad is a plumber) It’s our little insurance policy. #Adulting.

It does the job easily
I like the compact design and overall size of this pump. It works well and pumps plenty of water for its size. If it has the longevity one would expect it’s a winner.I use this as a portable pump for various tasks.

Cheap insurance for water damage from flooding
Back in 2017, a pipe failed in the garage, seeping through the wall and into the basement. By the time I got home from work and discovered it, the damage was incredible. I don't know how long that had been going on for, but by the water level, multiple hours. After that, I now have water sensors in several areas that will send a push notification to my phone if triggered, but even if I left work the SECOND I received it, it's an easy 45 minute to hour commute before I'm pulling in the driveway to shut off the water. This pump will ensure that a 2017 won't happen again, at least not nearly to that degree of damage.Pump feels really heavy duty and I can't imagine that it will tip over or move. Float will activate it at a relatively low water level (much, much lower than the mid-shin level of my past nightmare) and to me, this is super inexpensive insurance from a repeat situation happening.
