Used to safely compress OEM springs on my Toyota 4Runner Limited. I replaced leaking OEM shocks with Bilstein 5100s (height adjustable, highly recommended as better than OEM). Using this tool saves about $400 on new springs. This tool is very safe, super heavy duty and easy to use. Worked perfectly. Highly recommended. Pro tip: take the shoe facing downwards and insert into spring at bottom where the gap is larger. Spin it up the spiral till you get to the top. Attach bottom shoe to post and insert. Crank down until lip catches groove in the top shoe. You can put the screw in or not (according to what you're comfortable doing). Continue turning nut at head of post until the shock feels loose and free and spins easily. That's it for shock removal!
