Technology has arrived!
This is a great product. The reviews before I bought it were encouraging. When I bought it I was nervous as I’ve never seen like it before and instructions were so simplistic to make one doubtful. I bought a 92gpm. I also bought a total of 1200 watts solar panels although the product suggest 900 watts for this model. Lucky I did because as you can see in the video, while all day the skies were cloudy the pump was still doing it’s job. Just because of the extra panel. Check you connections. In assembling make sure you have the sensors (blue/red thinner line with diodes sensors at end) are in a bucket for testing. Without the sensors dipped in water the pump won’t run. Pool is always clear all day and wife doesn’t complain of running power bill due to the full electric pump running

Fittings could be better quality. But it is quiet.
OK for those who need help connecting the power. If you have a controller for 2 speed pumps. The common (center post is constant 120 v power. You will not need the switch with pool controller so disconnect those wires from the switch The left post is low speed. The right post is Hi speed. They are all spade connectors only. If no controller system you will need the switch to control hi and low speeds manually. If you have any air leaks it will not prime. Start with hand tight on all fittings first and slowly tighten as the threads suck and do break easily Use Teflon tape and wind 3 times around the threads.Short of that, the pump works well and it is cheap. Problem with cheap is I don't know how long it will last so I am ordering a backup just in case. At that price it saves me from re-pipping a different pump. Wish they have me a 2 inch fitting instead of 1 1/2 fitting. Still trying to find a 2 inch fitting that works.

Good pump except for 2 things
I have in-ground pool, and the pump is about 35 feet away and 1 foot higher than the skimmer line. My power is 240V. This is my 4th pump overall, and it seems to be better than all previous ones I had before. I've been running it on a timer 16 hours a day for just over a month now. Now, the bad 2 things about this one:1. Like someone has already described in his review here, the electric connectors on a 2-speed switch are designed for a flexible smaller-gauge wires with a slide-on female disconnects that need to be purchased separately. While the pump manual calls for a 14-gauge wires, which are 1.6mm solid copper gauge that I have, the pump connectors are not designed for a solid copper 14 gauge that need to bolted on like the Ground wire on this pump. So I had to go to Home Depot and buy what is called "Disconnect F" gauge 16-14 Female Disconnects and crimp them to my solid copper wires for my 240V power. After that you hope that the crimps will stay on and won't get loose with all the vibration of a working pump over the years..2. On low speed- bubbles in the output jet, telling me the pump is "suffocating" as there's not enough water flow on the intake. I have a salt generator cell, so bubbles are not allowed because they can damage the cell. For those that don't have a salt water pool, that probably won't matter. I wish they made the Low speed a little more powerful, not 2.2 Amps but maybe 10-20% more. I can run it in winter time when the salt cell is off, but for hot summer days in Texas, it's a Max speed 16 hours a day.The good: on Max speed, it sucks like a champ, also consuming about half the Amps than my previous pump that couldn't suck as good as this one. Better than any other pumps I ever had. It primes quickly, while the in-ground pool's skimmer is about 1 foot from the pump's suction plane, and about 35 feet away. I can also vacuum the pool without suffocating the pump, no matter how long it takes, which all previous pumps of similar horsepower couldn'

Prime the Pump
Works like a champ after finally figuring out why it wouldnt create a suction head... the pump initially needs to be primed (strainer basket filled with water), the instructions never mention this. I have four 320w panels wired in Series at about 10a across the board and 113v combined. Pump Controller regulates the volts back to 72v and can do it with a 115v max input load. As shown in my video, the panels still provided power on an extra cloudy day. Cant wait to get this going off grid! This pump even included a huge bundle pair of solar cables.

Good pump, noise and large
The pump is very strong and a good value. The downside is it is louder than our last pump and is significantly larger in length, by at least 12 to 15 inches than the last pump.
