Works Great
Easy to put together and functions properly It has produced several leafy and delicious green salads. I can highly recommend it without any considerations.

Works well
So far this has been a pretty decent little grow light. It's pretty compact so it doesn't take up too much space. I'd recommend giving it a try!

Will not work with other PVC
This is a great self-contained unit. The PVC is very thin, so I worry that it will break down more rapidly, but it assembled fairly quickly. It isn't US/Imperial standard dimensions, so you can't modify it with other PVC. It doesn't come with assembly instructions, so it helps if you're good with puzzles. I'd recommend twisting the plant tubes slightly forward so the holes point upright when fully assembled, and assembling face down on the floor to get the frame to lie flat. So far the strawberries are doing well, so I'm hopeful.

Things are growing!
Make sure you place this in your desired location before you add the water… It’s awkward to move once the water is added. We are seeing things grow, and we’re pretty excited about that!

Good value, good starter kit
This is my first exploration with hydroponics, and this was a good kit to get started. I thought about trying to build my own using PVC pipe but honestly this proved out to be much easier, and actually less expensive than buying my own. Pros * Good spacing between holes, as long as you choose crops appropriately. I balance smaller growers (e.g. dill, lettuce, etc.) in between the larger plants to make sure my garden doesn't turn into a forest. * Pretty easy to set up. Only real tool that's required is a level - make sure you get it as close as possible to flat before you start using, otherwise you'll have some tubes that don't get enough water and nutrients. * Motor is surprisingly powerful, when it works. Cons * Whatever size of PVC pipe they use is not standard. I purchased some 1\" pipe so I could string up a couple grow lights, and they didn't fit (actual size is about 9/10\"). I had to do some \"don't try this at home\" stuff to heat and shape the PVC so it would fit. * The motor works, but the water pipe doesn't secure. Very easy to just pop off....more than once I came home to find my plants wilting from lack of fresh water and nutrient. I had to secure it with a metal clamp, which is not ideal for long term use, since it's submerged. * Would be nice if it was taller, so I could fit a standard storage tub underneath for water. I ended up buying a set of 3-inch furniture risers to raise the entire setup * Additional piping will be needed if you want it quiet. Out of the box, too much running/falling water makes for a rather loud experience. I ended up running the water pipe directly into one of the grow holes, and a few elbow joints and pipe extensions for the water return. It's very quiet now, but looks a little bit goofy.

Good seed starter
Good starter to play around with herbs and seed starts. Definitely need a bigger cup size for doing certain plants.

Economical starter hydro unit
It is very very simply made. Inserts are the perfect size for rapid rooter plugs. Wheels left off for my use. Note: The fit of the legs is loose and with them wheels on you should cement it together (PVC cement). Very nice flow controllable pump.

Shocking Success
I didn’t expect this little contraption to succeed like it has. Germination took 2-3 weeks (thyme was first, rosemary was last) but at this point I’m honestly having trouble keeping up with the amount of herbs my hydroponic garden produces. They’re much stronger in flavor than those I buy at the store, so I need less. Love the built-in timer and the supports. The timer took at bit to set up, but once it was going I haven’t had to touch it since. The pump is very quiet and I don’t even notice it running. Having this little garden in winter has transformed my cooking. If you like fresh herbs, there’s no better investment.

I can finally grow herbs!!
I love cooking with fresh herbs but have had the hardest time getting them to grow outside. I have spent time researching how to grow a small variety on my screened back porch...to mist or not to mist, to leave the ceiling fan on for air circulation or not, the perfect temp and soil moisture. I have had good luck with all potted plants except herbs...until now! I've watched the seeds sprout and flourish while this garden system does all the work. I'm on my first round of seeds, but so far, so GOOD! I highly recommend this hydroponic system!
