We replaced a bent front subframe on an older Mazda Miata and this tool made the job so much easier and faster. Considering the time and effort saved by using a plug-in and play tool instead of coming up with my own solution to support the engine while the engine mounts are out I can honestly say that the tool paid for itself and more by the time that we completed this job. And now we have it ready available whenever a similar job comes our way. Money well spent!

It is surprisingly sturdy I just wish it came with better instructions on assembly. It was pretty straightforward but still all I had to go on was a picture

Needed to drop the lower sub frame assembly to swap out upper oil pan. It held up the engine great, with no concerns during the process. The chains it comes with were too short for my needs (wanted to loop under engine mounts), so I had to use some other chains. Be sides that, great. Also used additional chains up top to ensure the bar did not shift forward or back. My vehicle did not have a lot of flat space up top to plant the legs and stabilize the bar, so I wanted to sure it up some more.

Supported my engine while removing the transmission. The only improvement I can think of is where the chain goes on the engine support bar. I had to use grip plyers to prevent the chain from slipping off when the support bar had a load on it. Either more of an angle on the chain attachment, a ridget chain attachment or a way to lock the chain on the chain attachment would be me suggestion. Other than that it is a solid engine support bar.

Use it to install a tubular k member and long tube headers on my mustang. It performed flawlessly. We were able to do the job with ease.

Overall nice unit, did the job at a fraction of comparable tools. The only flaw was the rubber feet had to be silicone in as they slip out all the time.

I have used this type of engine support bar in a professional setting for years. I needed one of my own for a specific project, so I rolled the dice on this one. Wish I would have got this 3 clutches ago…cant go wrong for the price. I have found that a little machine oil or lubriplate grease on the bearings prior to use goes a long way.
