Cheap in cost but so far great in value & time savings
Using this hoist I've been able to install a drywall ceiling in my garage working alone. I wish I'd had this years ago when redoing ceilings in my house; would have saved me a lot of time (and cursing). Considering it's half the cost of what "Horror Fright" wants for one, and it's been working great so far, I almost wish I could give it 6 stars.

Great product
I am glad I bought this item. I used this lift this past weekend and THIS LIFT HAS MADE MY LIFE SO MUCH EASIER. There was no way I would be able to put the ceiling drywall without this lift. I do not do this type of work so I cannot say this is perfect for a professional. However, it has been invaluable to me. RECOMMENDED 200%

Makes 1-person DIY possible
I'm semi-finishing most of my large basement for sound insulation using 5/8" 48x192 in Plasterboard . There's NO WAY that I would entertain doing this without a drywall hoist. This one arrived in a reasonable shipping time and did not take much to assemble. The welds appear solid throughout and the hoist mechanism feels solid and reliable. The only tricky part was installing the main vertical part to the wheeled base. It took me a few tries before I realized exactly how to slide into the slot so it wouldn't fall over. This model allows you to rotate the drywall sheet independent of the base once it's horizontal.

Best money I spent on the project
This product was very easy to assemble. The video was pretty helpful. While I suspect it would never survive long in commercial use, for the do-it-yourselfer it is great. In less than hour and half I installed three panels. One involved a ceiling junction box. I was able to lift the panel and position it to where I could just trace the box for a precise cut. I'll be honest, it was way better than I anticipated for the price.

Highly recommend
Without it I would have had to use smaller pieces which means butt joints that are hard to hide on a smooth drywall ceiling.

Makes hanging drywall on the Ceiling so much easier.
Makes hanging drywall on the Ceiling so much easier. We are finishing our basement and this has made it so much easier to hang the sheetrock. It assembles easily and works as it should. Overall a good buy for the do it yourselfer.

Highly recommend
This is a quality lift. I used it to sheetrock my garage. I installed 4×8 sheets of 5/8 sheetrock on the ceiling. At no point did i feel unsafe using this lift overhead. It was easy to work aroud my garage door rails without removing and getting the sheets into the corners. I would highly recommend this lift.

Use it correctly and it operates perfectly
If you use it right and Don't Force it at works well and will operate for years

Great tool to get.
It all basically came together. One of the end caps was split but I just duck taped on. No issue. I am a lone DIY'r so I felt a little unjustified in this purchase but after lifting 5 or so panels I think this was within reason. I could see a pro getting one of these per man and setting them loose in a room. I think this thing is great and I'm glad I got it.

The price is right
I'm not sure how I hung so many sheets of drywall in my life without a lift. I borrowed this lift from a friend to hang 14' sheets in my kitchen/dining room. When it came time to do my living room I went ahead and bought myself one. It does have a little bit of a learning curve to master but definitely worth it in the strain and time saved.
