I am a 50 yr old woman, with no drywall experience. It’s a nice piece, and does the job. The instructions were a little vague, so I watched some YouTube videos. It is pretty easy to use. Moving it around can be a little tricky. The one thing that I wish was better, there is a lot of play in the top. But I understand it needs that to maneuver the drywall around. I

Must have for hanging sheetrock on the ceiling!
SO Worth the money! With a 5 rooms in a 800 Sq Ft build, I debated spending a few hundred on a lift. By the time we were putting up the second sheet I was SO happy I bought this lift. Work wonderful for ceiling work. Takes some getting used to handling and adjusting when using the lift for hanging on the wall. Reading some of the reviews, first thing we did when setting it up was check the connections on the cable and ensure the cable was routing over the pulleys the lift. No problems found with cabling. we've now put up over 20 pieces (1/2 of those 12 footers)- not a bit of trouble with the lift.

Worth every penny and a back saver
The initial use of this was to put up about 10 pieces of 4 x 8 sheets of 1/2 sheet rock. It worked like a charm and was used for several days. The directions could have been a bit cleaner but once I had it together it made sense. The slide out arms are interchangeable but I found they go in better one way over another. It has no problem rising the sheet and holding it in place. Sure did save my back. I got a few counter sink bits that I was not expecting but did not end up using them. It was worth the purchase instead of renting it and trying to rush using it. Will be using this again once we redo our family room as well.

Great Back and time saver!!!
Couldn't have finished the ceiling by myself without!!! I was very skeptical but this has saved me so much time, $$ and pain! Excellent price and I don't have to beg or pay anyone for their help so its a win all the way around. Great product

Great quality for the price!
I rarely write product reviews. This drywall lift is a game changer!I was skeptical because of some of the negative, 1-star reviews, not just for this product but other lifters costing less than $400. I decided to risk purchasing it given that the cost is on par with a rental. I put it together and wow! The quality is great, especially for something at this price point. I don’t doubt that the $1,200 lifters are quite a bit nicer, and would probably withstand the daily abuse of a professional lugging it from job site to job site. But for a DIY homeowner, you can’t beat this drywall lifter.

Rock Solid
While it's no professional-quality item as used by contractors, it absolutely does the job for this do-it-yourselfer. Open the box, unfold and lock the base frame, drop the column into place, bolt the hand crank to the wheel, slide in the extensions and snap in the cross braces. Done and ready to use. Less than 5 minutes to unbox and set up.

Cheap in cost but so far great in value & time savings
Using this hoist I've been able to install a drywall ceiling in my garage working alone. I wish I'd had this years ago when redoing ceilings in my house; would have saved me a lot of time (and cursing). Considering it's half the cost of what "Horror Fright" wants for one, and it's been working great so far, I almost wish I could give it 6 stars.
