I've had an 8' lift that I've used for 15 years, but bought this lift to reach a 13' cathedral ceiling. The price was the reason for the purchase. The quality is as expected - a bit sketchy, especially when lifting a 110 lb / 12' sheet of drywall 14' into the air. The pin that is to secure the tripod base would not securely hold the base (the legs kept folding in!), so I had to drill into the catch assembly and insert a bolt. I got exactly what I expected for the price and I do not regret the spend. This unit did the job...

It is on sale for 189 now, I got for 214. I have never used one before, so I do not know compared to others, but at the time, it was the lowest cost available. lifts 8' sheets 10' reasonably well, because it is somewhat "loose", it allows you to move and wiggle sheets into place. Haven’t had a chance to get it together and see how it does. I will update this after I do but I feel like it shouldn’t be this beat up still in the box…

Title says it all. The weld around the crank was cheap and busted on my second use, but replaced it with a washer, the spring for the break broke in the incident, so i have to manually control the brake, but it still gets a 5 star review. Saved me hours of sweat and time, the 1$ repair is nothing compared to the ease of use and productive gained.

This was very easy to assemble and use. I use it to hang 12ft sheets on a renovation. Job went very smoothly.

I love this drywall lift. It makes installing drywall on the ceiling so easy with just one person. I highly recommend it.

Simple and versatile. I taped a small piece of material in center to add stability for smaller pieces. Hung 30 sheets on ceiling by myself.
