Would definitely buy again

As expected. Was easy to wrap around a hose and secure with pipe insulation. Kept the house to our travel trailer from freezing up. This was the lowest cost heat tape I could find and I am very satisfied. I appreciated the lighted plug that let me know it always had power.

Makes a great steering wheel heater until you turn the wheel. An ON light would be nice to know when it is actually on. Also cheap insurance for pipes in the danger zone.

Held up well in 0 degree weather in Ohio this ...

Held up well in 0 degree weather in Ohio this year! Wrapped the hose in Aluminum foil, Attached the heat tape with electrical tape every about 16-18in, then wrapped pipe insulation around it fastened with duct tape. Never doubled up the tape, or coiled it. Kept the horses automatic waterier flowing!

After the well pipe froze twice in 4 days at our new house in Michigan (what was I thinking?), I bought this and haven't had any trouble since, even after a solid week of -10 degrees. I want to add insulation around the pipe & tape for added protection against the cold.
